We got the keys to our International Center in May, 2020.

In the same month, we were lucky to find people with different skills to help us get started. All of us are volunteers. Founders, Ahmad and Simon, are from Egypt and Italy, accountant from Greece, website designer and video director from Finland, proofreader from Australia, handymen for building the space and people helping in deliveries are from several different Middle Eastern and African countries.

We support equality, human rights and respect the nature around us.

In the Center, we use recycled and used materials as much as possible. There is no need to burden our already suffering planet. We collaborate with people, organizations and projects with the same ideology.

Center will be open from Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

We should be able to squeeze in many different activities. Of course, the place is small, with a maximum of 10 people at a time (after COVID-19 restrictions). But that is the perfect group size to study languages (English or Greek), make embroidery, jewellery (shell, wood, plastic, beads, glass...) or other crafts that are space conscious.

Education, workshops, vocational training
People can use the computers for writing CVs or to send work applications. Also, we will teach basic and advanced computer skills (dependent on individual needs). As we collaborate with several organizations, and reach hundreds of refugees weekly, we have an endless supply of different skills and students. We will  update the list of 'needs' on Volunteering page.

Separate office space (and entrance) for meeting immigrant lawyers, social workers or for other one on one meetings. Maybe just to have a conversation and ease your mind to someone in a private place. Privacy is hard to find at the refugee camp. Psychosocial support with peers and professionals.

Basement is a place to store or fix donated furniture, clothes, bedding, kitchenware, hygiene products etc. When we can afford the first housing unit, the basics for the apartment are already there. We will also have a sewing machine that we can recreate our own clothing, curtains, furniture covers etc. We use recycled fabrics.

Start-up time at the Center is from 5pm to midnight. We start with small and simple, but possibilities are limitless. We think creatively, fundraise and then expand.
